
Sam Chandan, PhD MPH MSc FRSPH FRICS is Founding Director of the Chen Institute at the NYU Stern School of Business, a member of Stern's finance faculty, Founder and Executive Chairman of Chandan Economics, and Co-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Chandan Foundation. He is a Senior Fellow at the United States Military Academy at West Point's McDonald Conference, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine, Royal Society for Public Health (FRSPH), Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS), and Real Estate Research Institute (RERI). In addition to his principal role at NYU, he is a contributor to the World Economic Forum and serves on the boards of several for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. Prior to joining Stern, Dr. Chandan was the Silverstein Chair and Dean of the NYU SPS Schack Institute. His current research is focused on innovation in real estate capital markets, applications of artificial intelligence in the real estate sector and in medical research, and urban infectious disease epidemiology.
